The ancestral clotting cascade presumed to be present in the last common ancestor of jawless fish and gnathostomes is based on the scheme suggested by Doolittle <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0097879#pone.0097879-Doolittle2" target="_blank">[11]</a>.
