The aryl(silyl)aminotrichlorosilane 2,6-<i>i</i>Pr<sub>2</sub>C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>3</sub>N(SiMe<sub>2</sub>Ph)SiCl<sub>3</sub> (<b>1</b>) and aryl(phosphanyl)aminotrichlorosilane ArN(PPh<sub>2</sub>)SiCl<sub>3</sub> (Ar = 2,6-<i>i</i>Pr<sub>2</sub>C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>3</sub> (<b>2</b>), 4-MeC<sub>6</sub>H<sub>4</sub> (<b>3</b>), 2,4,6-Me<sub>3</sub>C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>2</sub> (<b>4</b>)) were prepared and utilized for investigation in reactions with freshly prepared lithium alkynyls.
