<p>The genomes were obtained from the Joint Genome Institute database, and the transcriptomes were obtained from the Marine Microbial Environmental Transcriptome Sequencing Project (MMETSP) database. The stress value for this plot was 0.12, which indicates that the two-dimensional plot is a good representation of the data. The four target species in this study are highlighted in boxes. The trophic modes of each organism are denoted in green (phototrophs), black (heterotrophs) and red (mixotrophs).
