Is there a philosophy of Buddhism? If there is one, what are its main components?

Buddhism definitely has a philosophy. Buddhist philosophy arguably encompasses the domains of ethics, epistemology, ontology, cosmology, social theory, and aesthetics. This paper will focus on Buddhist epistemology – how we know what we know – and Buddhist ontology – what is real and true – by highlighting some of their key components. I hope to draw attention to the richness and depth of Buddhist philosophical thinking across traditions, suggesting how a synthesis of key insights can be helpful and beneficial to our enterprise of enlightenment
