Lin28 is Required for Proper Geotaxis and Eclosion.

<p><i>lin-28^dF30</i> and <i>lin-28^dF101</i> mutants exhibited reduced levels of both spontaneous (<b>A</b>) and stimulated (<b>B</b>) locomotory activity (n = 50; p<0.05). (<b>C</b>) 50% of the homozygous <i>lin-28^dF30</i> mutants either did not eclose (41%), or eclosed too weak to survive (9%), while 100% of the <i>w¹¹¹⁸</i> and 94% of the <i>lin-28^dF30/+</i> progeny eclosed properly (<i>w¹¹¹⁸</i> n = 43; <i>lin-28^dF30/+</i> n = 44; <i>lin-28^dF30</i> n = 51).
