Enhanced B cell proliferation by TC BMDCs is IL-6 and IFN-γ dependent.

<p>2×10⁴ BMDCs were co-cultured with 10⁵ B cells with anti-CD40 Ab for 5 d. Blocking Abs for IL-6 and/or IFN-γ were added to the co-culture. Blocking IL-6 significantly decreased IgM secretion in co-cultures with either B6 (<b>A</b>) or TC (<b>B</b>) BMDCs. The significant reduction of the B cell numbers in the TC BMDC co-cultures required the combined blocking of IL-6 and IFN-γ (<b>C</b>). Significance was determined by two-tailed paired tests.
