LIPUS therapy improved ischemia-induced myocardial dysfunction in vivo.

<p>(<b>A</b>, <b>B</b>) Four weeks after the implantation of an ameroid constrictor (pre-Tx), LV wall motion of the LCx region was reduced in both the control (<b>A</b>) and the LIPUS group (<b>B</b>). (<b>C</b>, <b>D</b>) Four weeks after the first left ventriculography (post-Tx), no significant change in LV wall motion was noted in the control group (<b>C</b>), whereas marked recovery was noted in the LIPUS group (<b>D</b>). <b>E</b>, The LIPUS therapy normalized left ventricular ejection fraction in the LIPUS group but not in the control group.
