Immunolocalization of <i>Sm</i>Synt in <i>S. mansoni</i> adult worms and schistosomula.

<p>Mouse purified, polyclonal anti-r<i>Sm</i>Synt and anti-mouse secondary antibodies conjugated with Alexa 488 (green) were used to label the native <i>Sm</i>Synt protein in sections of 7-day schistosomula and adult worms (C–E, H–J, M–O). As a control, serum from naive mice was tested in a similar manner (A–B, F–G, K–L). Nuclei stained with DAPI (blue), actin stained with phalloidin conjugated to rhodamine (red). White arrows indicate the localization of <i>Sm</i>Synt on the surface and lumen of the intestinal lining of adult worms and schistosomula.
