<p>Neutrophils were treated with 10 µM DPI or DMSO (vehicle control) for 1 h before co-incubation with antiserum (1∶200) and/or serum (1–20%)-opsonized Bp (<b>A–B</b>) or Bt (<b>C–D</b>) for 10 min before removing extracellular bacteria. Neutrophils were harvested at 10 min (<b>A</b> and <b>C</b>) post-infection to measure bacterial uptake and at 2 h (<b>B</b> and <b>D</b>) to measure bacterial survival.
