Aldosterone induced galectin-3 expression in human monocyte cell line THP-1.

<p>(A) Aldosterone induced galectin-3 expression dose dependently. THP-1 cells (1×10⁶ cells/ml) were serum-starved for 24 h prior to 24-h aldosterone treatment with various concentrations as indicated. (B) Aldosterone induced galectin-3 protein expression time dependently. THP-1 cells (1×10⁶ cells/ml) were serum-starved for 24 h prior to 10⁻⁶ M aldosterone or vehicle treatment for various durations. (C) Aldosterone transcriptionally regulated galectin-3 expression.
