<p>BRIR measured using microphones positioned inside the ear canal of one subject. Pilot testing determined that the shaded area contained perceptually relevant information while the subsequent reverberant tail (>21 ms) was discarded. The regions inside the blue and red ellipses represent direct and reverberant energy respectively. Six early-reflected peaks are visible in the preserved BRIR.</p
