<p>In York University Woodlot, a standard size qandrant was placed randomly 20 times, and during each time, the following observations were made on plant species in the quadrant. </p> <p>First the total number of species present were identified and recorded with the help of classification key. this was followed by a measure of abundane, which was the total number of each individual that was observed for each plant species. </p> <p>Species Richness was also obtained, which was the total number of different plant species observed in each quadrant. </p> <p>finally, the percent cover of each species was obtained, by simply estimating the total vegetation cover on the ground by that specie. </p
