Effect of VHSV on immune gene transcription in the AT.

<p>Fish were intraperitoneally injected with VHSV (5×10⁵ TCID₅₀ per fish) or with the same volume of culture media (Control). At day 2 or 5 post-infection, trout were sacrificed and the AT removed for RNA extraction and analysis of immune gene transcription through real time PCR. Data are shown as the mean relative gene expression normalized to the transcription of the house-keeping gene EF-1α ± SD (n = 6). The relative significance of differences between infected and mock-infected fish was determined through a Student <i>t</i> test and is shown above the bars as *.
