<p>Vaccinated and mock-vaccinated mice in challenge groups were challenged thorough the intra-vaginal route with 10⁶ PFU of HSV-1 McKrae (A) or HSV-2G (B) 21 days post primary vaccination and observed for 14 days. One hundred percent of the vaccinated animals in the HSV-1 and HSV-2 challenged group survived, while 100% of the mock-vaccinated animals died. (A) A statistically significant difference was observed between the vaccinated and mock-vaccinated groups (p<0.0001) using the Gehan-Breslow-Wilcoxin test. (B) A statistically significant difference was observed between the vaccinated and mock-vaccinated groups (p<0.0001) using the Gehan-Breslow-Wilcoxin test.
