The expected value <i>µ<sub>ij</sub></i> is a function of four spatial scales (sub-region <i>f<sub>s</sub></i>, habitat <i>f<sub>h</sub></i>, reef <i>f<sub>r</sub></i>, and site <i>f<sub>i</sub></i>).
