<p>(A–D) 293T- or 293T sh-β3 cells were transfected with plasmids encoding TLR2 or an empty plasmid, Akt-HA (PKB_wt) or the dominant negative version PKB_CAAX, as indicated. In lanes marked MK2206, cells were pre-treated with 5 µM MK2206 for 1 h prior to exposure to gD^−/− virions and during virus absorption, or left untreated (control), and harvested 6 h after infection.
