<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>. To describe the behavior of breast cancer (BC) during the 1962-2012 period from information provided by the Cali Cancer Registry and the Municipal Health Secretariat of Cali.</p> <p><strong>Materials and methods.</strong> The incidence trend (1962-2007) and mortality trend (1984-2012) for breast cancer was studied and relative survival (RS)(1995-2004) was estimated. Age-standardized incidence and mortality rates to the world population (ASIR(w)/ASMR(w)) were expressed per 100 000 persons-year. Their temporal trend was examined with the annual percent of change (APC), and the Cox model was used to analyze the variables that influenced the survival of women with breast cancer.</p...
