The development of a scalable, low-cost, and versatile biosensor platform for the sensitive and rapid detection of human metabolites is of great interest for healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and medical science. On the basis of hierarchically nanostructured conducting polymer hydrogels, we designed a flexible biosensor platform that can detect various human metabolites, such as uric acid, cholesterol, and triglycerides.
