Atorvastatin reduces thrombus inflammation in murine VT at early timepoints.

<p>Representative immunoblot of neutrophil markers Ly6G and MPO, NET marker CitH3 and macrophage marker Mac-3 from days 4, 7, and 10 stasis-induced VT is shown (<b>A</b>). Immunoblot analysis of stasis-induced VT shows a reduction in all inflammation markers at day 4 in atorvastatin-treated animals. No significant difference in days 7 and 10 were found between statin and PBS groups. Mac-3 expression increased from day 4 to 10, while the other markers decreased (<b>A</b>). *p<0.05.
