The O<sub>3</sub>-initiated oxidation reactions of α-pinene ([1<i>S</i>,5<i>S</i>]-2,6,6-trimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-ene), β-pinene ([1<i>R</i>,5<i>R</i>]-6,6-dimethyl-2-methylenebicyclo[3.1.1]heptane), camphene ([1<i>R</i>,4<i>S</i>]-2,2-dimethyl-3-methylenebicyclo[2.2.1]heptane) and sabinene ([1<i>R</i>,5<i>R</i>]-4-methylene-1-(1-methylethyl)bicycle[3.1.0]hexane), four monoterpenes typically emitted into the atmosphere, were studied at the B3LYP/6-31+G(2d,2p) level of theory.
