<p>Mice were treated with PBS (open circles) or LPS (closed circles) once a day intranasally for four days. On day 5, lung slices were prepared and incubated in culture media overnight. Concentration-response curves were prepared to A) MCh and B) 5HT. Additional slices from PBS- and LPS-treated mice were incubated in media or LPS (10 μg/ml for 48 h, shown in blue). Concentration-response curves were prepared for 5HT C) PBS-treated mice ± LPS, D) LPS-treated mice ± LPS. All data is expressed as % initial airway lumen area (mean ± S.E.M), n = 3–4 where n represents one slice per mouse.</p
