The signal changes are extracted from local maxima of brain activations for each phase (see <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0126511#pone.0126511.t002" target="_blank">Table 2</a>). The peak amplitudes of signal changes are entered as the variables. The values alongside the arrows represent the path coefficients, corresponding to the estimates of effective connectivity.
