Grouper iridovirus caspase recruitment domain (GIV-CARD) protein protects HeLa cells from UV- or anti-Fas antibody-induced apoptosis.

<p>Immunocytochemistry of HeLa cells transfected with pcDNA3CF_GIV-CARD and irradiated with 0.24 Joules UV or treated with 0.5 μg/ml anti-Fas CH11 antibody. Nuclei (blue), apoptotic bodies (green), and GIV-CARD-expressing cells (red) were detected by DAPI staining, TUNEL assay, and immunocytochemical staining, respectively.
