<p>Mature oocytes were released from the oviduct ampullae of superovulated mice ~14–16 h following the administration of human chorionic gonadotropin. Immunofluorescence was performed for the detection of levels of 5-methylcytosine (A), H3K9ac (B), and H3K18ac (C). Each sample was stained with anti-5-methylcytosine (green), anti-H3K9ac (green), or anti- H3K18ac (green) antibodies and counterstained with DAPI (blue) to allow DNA visualization. Samples were visualized at (original magnification × 200) for exposure time of 200 ms (anti-5-methylcytosine, anti-H3K9ac and anti-H3K18ac).</p
