The silver(I) species [Ag(benzim(CH<sub>2</sub>py)<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]PF<sub>6</sub> (<b>1</b>) was prepared by refluxing the ligand precursor [H(benzim(CH<sub>2</sub>py)<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]PF<sub>6</sub> with Ag<sub>2</sub>O and aqueous sodium hydroxide in dichloromethane. Simple transmetalation of <b>1</b> with tetrahydrothiophenegold(I) chloride forms the gold(I) analogue [Au(benzim(CH<sub>2</sub>py)<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]PF<sub>6</sub> (<b>2</b>). The addition of 2 equiv of [Cu(NCCH<sub>3</sub>)<sub>4</sub>]PF<sub>6</sub> to <b>2</b> in acetonitrile produces a blue-luminescent, trimetallic complex, [AuCu<sub>2</sub>(benzim(CH<sub>2</sub>py)<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>(NCCH<sub>3</sub>)<sub>4</sub>](PF<sub>6</...
