GAS induced sepsis enhances systemic cytokine release in hu-C4BPxFH tg mice.

<p>Animals were infected i.v. with 5x10⁶ GAS AP1. (<b>A</b>-<b>I</b>) Nine BALB/c and 10 hu-C4BPxFH tg animals were sacrificed at 2h, and the remaining animals were sacrificed at 24h after infection and sera obtained for cytokine analysis. Cytokine levels of individual samples (with medians indicated) are shown (1^st and 3^rd rows) as well as fold change compared to baseline levels obtained prior to infection from individual animals (2^nd and 4^th rows) (bar graphs; means ±SEM). Statistical analysis: 2-way ANOVA with Bonferroni’s post-test.
