<p>Intracellular oxidative stress was investigated flow cytometrically using five different fluorescent probes of different affinities to a number of free radicals. U937 cells were exposed to Ar-CAP for 1 min or X-rays (10 Gy). Control samples were sham-exposed and handled exactly as irradiated cells were. The typical histograms showing the increase in fluorescence intensity following Ar-CAP (2 min) in presence of (a) HPF and (b) APF.
