<div><p>Background</p><p>Non-typhoidal <i>Salmonella</i> (NTS) and <i>Salmonella enterica</i> serovar Typhi bacteremia are the causes of significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. There is a paucity of data regarding NTS bacteremia in South Asia, a region with a high incidence of typhoidal bacteremia.
