<p>Cells were cultured in chondrogenic induction medium. Toluidine blue staining (× 400) on cultured hTMSCs from non-allergic patients (above) and allergic patients (below) demonstrated similar amounts of staining by visual assessment. The mRNA expression of type II collagen in hTMSCs (B) was detected by RT-PCR. hTMSCs displayed consistently increasing expression of chondrogenic differentiation markers irrespective of allergic state or priming with TLR agonists.</p
