Für das nichtparametrische Behrens-Fisher-Problem wird ein Permutationstest basierend auf der studentisierten Rangstatistik von Brunner und Munzel vorgeschlagen. Diese Methode ist auch auf Scores und ordinale Daten anwendbar. Mithilfe des zentralen Grenzwertsatzes von Janssen läßt sich zeigen, dass die asymptotische Verteilung dieser Teststatistik eine Standardnormalverteilung ist. Für sehr kleine oder sehr unterschiedliche Stichprobenumfänge, wie sie in medizinischen oder biologischen Anwendungen häufig auftreten, wurde eine umfangreiche Simulationsstudie durchgeführt.
