Stereoskopische und Multiplane PIV Messungen an künstlich angeregten transitionellen Plattengrenzschichtströmungen werden präsentiert. Die experimentellen Ergebnisse sind auf die späten Stadien der K- und Oblique-Typ Transition und auf die Substrukturen und die Entwicklung eines turbulenten Spots fokussiert, der durch eine pulsförmige Punktstörquelle erzeugt wurde. Momentane Geschwindigkeitsfelder wurden ausgewertet, um die lokale und globale Dynamik des turbulenten Zusammenbruchs der Transitionsstrukturen zu quantifizieren.
