Die vorliegende Dissertation stellt einige der wichtigsten Problembereiche der Röntgenstrukturanalyse vor. Von der Kristallzucht über Datensammlung und Verfeinerung bis hin zur Evaluierung des Modells wird anhand von Beispielen gezeigt, wie das jeweilige Problem behoben oder umgangen werden kann. Ein Schwerpunkt der Arbeit liegt hierbei auf den Gebieten Fehlordnung und Verzwillingung.
