Bei Patienten mit myelodysplastischen Syndromen (MDS) ist die transfusionsbedingte Eisenüberladung ein wichtiger Faktor für Komorbiditäten. In dieser Dissertation werden Progenitorzelleigenschaften zwischen Patienten mit normalen und erhöhten Ferritinwerten verglichen. Dies basiert auf Colony Assays und durchflusszytometrischen Apoptosemessungen an hämatopoetischen Progenitorzellen.
