Metastasen im Knochen sind ein häufiges Problem beim fortgeschrittenen Mammakarzinom, da die Morbidität der Patientinnen zunimmt und dadurch ihre Lebensqualität abnimmt. Die Analyse der dem Metastasierungsprozess zugrunde liegenden Mechanismen ist daher von großer Bedeutung für die Entwicklung neuer Therapiekonzepte.
