HINTERGRUND: Gastrointestinale Stromatumoren (GIST) sind CD117-positive mesenchymale Tumoren des Gastrointestinaltrakts. Mit molekularzytogenetischen Methoden konnten in der letzten Dekade einige Zusammenhänge von chromosomalen Verlusten (u.a. -14q, -1p und -22q) mit der Prognose der betroffenen Patienten aufgezeigt werden.
