Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit Struktur und Funktion der Haupthistokompatibilitätskomplex (MHC)-Klasse-I-Gene des Rhesusaffen (Macaca mulatta, Mamu). Es ist bekannt, dass MHC-Klasse-I-Moleküle wesentlich an der Kontrolle der zellulären Immunantwort beteiligt sind. Für die humanen MHC-Klasse-I-Moleküle (HLA-A, -B, -C) ist ein ausgeprägter Polymorphismus charakteristisch.
