This paper reports on an empirical study of the ethical attitudes and surrogate actions ofbusiness students at the National University of Lesotho. The Argyris & Schon espousedtheory versus theory in use model was used as the theoretical framework. The purpose of theresaearch was to ascertain the level of ethical attitude among the respondents and to establishwhether there was a divergence between the espoused ethics and the ethics in action. Thefindings are explored in the context of the socio-economic environment pertaining inSouthern Africa.
