<p>This experiment took place on Monday, September 28/2015 between 3:00 and 5:00pm. The weather consisted of clouded skies and small breezes and the temperature was 21 degrees celsius. The purpose of this study was to discover the abundance of different animals that can be found in both the Saywell Woodlot and Stong Pond Grassland at York University. This experiment was conducted by placing a 1 by 1 metre quadrat at each location and spending 2 minutes counting the amount of animals found within the quadrat. Then, to ensure randomness, the experimentor took a repating pattern of 5,10,15 steps in a systematic north,south,east,west pattern.
