Identifying semantic correspondences between vocabularies is a fundamental step towards enabling interoperability among them. In this paper we report the results of a matching experiment we conducted between two large scale knowledge organization systems, i.e. NALT and LCSH. We show that, even if there is still large scope for improvements, automatic tools can significantly reduce the time necessary at finding and validating correspondences
