Transcriptional expression analysis of genes expressed during microsclerotia formation in <i>Verticillium dahliae</i> in the wild-type isolate Vd080, the deletion mutant Δ<i>CYC8</i>-45, and wild type-complemented mutant strain Δ<i>CYC8</i>-C26.

<p>The genes highly expressed during microsclerotia formation were previously identified [<a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0144020#pone.0144020.ref040" target="_blank">40</a>], and the primer sets for their amplification in this study are listed in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0144020#pone.0144020.t002" target="_blank">Table 2</a>. The <i>V</i>. <i>dahliae β-tubulin</i> (Bt), amplified using primers VerBt-F/R (see <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0144020#sec002" target="_blank">Materials and Methods</a>), was used in relative expression analyses.
