<p>A. Relative GMPR activity is plotted against temperature. The plots were normalized by setting the value at 38°C to 100%. B. Relative GMPR activity is plotted against pH. The activity at pH 7.0 was set to 100%. The activity at different pHs were measured in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 6.5 to 8.0; closed circles) or 50 mM sodium borate buffer (pH 8.0 to 9.0; open circles) as described in Materials and Methods. The activity at pHs lower than 6.5 was not examined because of instability of NADPH. The values are expressed as the mean ± S.D.</p
