The study investigated the effects of management challenges affecting academic performance. The study aimed at establishing the management challenges facing school management, the effects of the management strategies on academic performance and the factors affecting academic performance in Kaptagat division. The study used descriptive and exploratory survey design. Descriptive design was ideal as it enabled an in-depth study of the relevant variables to be made in order to establish existing condition in the schools.
