Assembly of Two 3D Porous Metal–Organic Frameworks Based on 1,2,3-Triazole-4,5-dicarboxylate Exhibiting Novel Coordination Modes

Two novel metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) |(H₃O)_1.5(H₂O)₃|[Cd₂K_0.5(C₄N₃O₄)₂(H₂O)] (<b>1</b>) and |(H₃O)­(H₂O)|[Cu₄(C₄N₃O₄)₃(H₂O)₃] (<b>2</b>) were solvothermally synthesized using 1,2,3-triazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (H₃tzdc), which exhibited novel and diverse coordination modes. In compound <b>1</b>, the ligand, which shows three novel types of coordination modes, is coordinated to cadmium atoms to generate a tetranuclear cluster that leads to a 5-connected <b>bnn</b> network with two distinct channels along the [001] and [010] directions. In compound <b>2</b>, the ligand, which serves as a T-shaped linker, is coordinated to copper atoms to form a unique metalloporphyrin-like plane, resulting in a <b>pto</b> network without interpenetration. Gas adsorption was investigated for compound <b>1</b>. In addition, a diverse blue luminescence response toward different guest molecules by compound <b>1</b> has been observed
