Expression of Bax/Bcl-2 and activated Caspase 3 and 9 caused by STZ and Hex.

<p>The MIN6 cells were treated with 1.0 mM STZ and/or 1.0 μM Hex, the alterations of Bax/Bcl-2, cleaved Caspase-3 and cleaved Caspase-9 were detected by Western blot. The upper panels show the representative immunoblots for each protein. (A) Hex significantly decreased the ratio of Bax to Bcl-2 increased by STZ treatment. (B and C) Hex significantly decreased the STZ-induced expression of cleaved Caspase-3 and cleaved Caspase-9.
