Bars correspond to AV^-PI^-: viable cells, AV⁺PI^-: early apoptotic cells, AV⁺PI⁺: late apoptotic cells and AV^-PI⁺: necrotic cells. Epimastigotes exposed to 30% fresh human serum (FHS) for 2 h at 28°C were used as positive control. p values < 0.05 (*) and < 0.01 (**) were considered significant.
