A series of hetero-bimetallic transition metal-substituted polyoxometalates (TMSPs) were synthesized based on the Co<sup>II</sup>-centered ligand [Co<sup>II</sup>W<sub>11</sub>O<sub>39</sub>]<sup>10–</sup>.
