<p><br></p> <p>In this study, provenance interpretations link the petrography with the geochemical composition, taking into account how the different trace elements are hosted in the heavy minerals which occur in the sandstones.</p> <p>The application of petrographic modal analyses (including heavy minerals quantification) and bulk chemical analyses of Lower Cretaceous fluvial to transitional sandstones have allowed the establishment of a provenance model. </p
