<b><i>Background:</i></b> Atopic dermatitis (AD) is the most common allergic inflammatory skin disease. The activation of innate immunity by house dust mite (<i>Dermatophagoides farinae </i>extract, DFE) allergen plays an important role in the pathogenesis of AD.
