<p>All lymphocytes (gate O) were gated by forward scatter/side scatter (FS/SS), differentiating T cell subsets (gate D) by CD3⁺ staining in lymphocytes, and then CD4⁺ T cells (gate M) were further identified based on CD4⁺ staining in T cells, meanwhile, CD8⁺ T cells (gate E) were further identified by CD8⁺ staining in T cells. The multiple dot plots of the percentage of PD-1⁺ CD4⁺ T cells and PD-1⁺ CD8⁺ T cells are shown in four groups: health control, T2DM, severe sepsis without T2DM, and severe sepsis with T2DM.
