Identifying materials that can efficiently separate CO<sub>2</sub> from natural gas (CO<sub>2</sub>/CH<sub>4</sub>), power-plant flue gas (CO<sub>2</sub>/N<sub>2</sub>), and petroleum refinery gas streams (CO<sub>2</sub>/H<sub>2</sub>) is crucial.
